Baltmore, MD - May 5, 2025 - Beginning Monday, May 5, the North Entrance to the Park Heights JCC parking lot will be closed due to ongoing renovation work. The South Entrance, located at the traffic signal, will remain open and serve as the only access point for entering and exiting the campus. The closure is expected to have minimal impact on the number of available parking spaces. Construction is anticipated to last for approximately one week.

Baltimore, MD - May 4, 2025  - Elevated levels of Legionella bacteria were detected in the water at a Baltimore City Department of Social Services office complex, a spokesperson confirmed Friday. Test results received April 25 showed above-normal levels of Legionella bacteria in a few isolated locations across the Biddle Street building complex. Legionella is the bacterium that causes Legionnaires’ disease, a type of severe pneumonia that can be fatal. Nationally, Legionella largely remains unregulated, though a handful of states, including New York and New Jersey, have laws governing it.
