Baltimore, MD - April 28, 2025 - The Baltimore Police Department on Monday announced the arrests of 16 juveniles following several incidents over the weekend.
Officers said the suspects range in age from 13 to 17 years old. Eleven of the suspects have prior arrest records, including two juveniles who have each been arrested more than nine times.
Police said the crimes committed by the teenagers over the weekend included robbery, auto theft, burglary, handgun violation and aggravated and common assault.
“It is incredibly frustrating to see young people involved in violent crimes across our city,” Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley said. “Our officers are working every day to keep our neighborhoods safe, but real, lasting change requires all of us, from ou...

Jerusalem, Israel - April 28, 2025 - Aish, a global Jewish educational institution, confirms that Harvard University has issued subpoenas for communications between their shared former student, Shabbos Kestenbaum, and Aish regarding the documentary film "Frontline Warriors." The documentary film, which was produced by Aish, chronicles Kestenbaum’s fight against antisemitism at Harvard as well as the fight of Eden Yadegar at Columbia and Eli Tsives at UCLA.
This legal action comes in the wake of ongoing litigation initiated by Kestenbaum, who continues to pursue accountability from Harvard after several co-plaintiffs settled their claims earlier this year. “The university's decision to target communications related to the documentary raises serious concerns about aca...
At the JNS International Policy Summit held on Monday evening at Jerusalem’s Waldorf Astoria hotel, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee delivered a forceful message regarding Iran’s nuclear ambitions. He emphasized that if Iran persists in its pursuit of nuclear weapons, President Donald Trump “won’t be dragged into a war, he’ll lead it.” Huckabee affirmed the president’s unwavering stance, stating, “The president has been very clear that there will never be a possibility for nuclear weapons; he’s been explicit about that.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu echoed similar sentiments during his speech at the conference on Sunday. He asserted that “the only good deal that works is a deal like the one that was made...

Following the visit of Israel's Mossad Director David Barnea to Qatar, an Israeli official told The Jerusalem Post on Sunday that, at present — with emphasis on at present — he sees no chance of bridging the gaps between Israel and Hamas to reach a hostage deal.
"If the positions of Israel and Hamas remain as they are now, then the gaps are unbridgeable for reaching an agreement," the official stated.
Hamas is currently insisting that any deal must include a complete cessation of the war — with guarantees. "From Hamas's perspective, there is no such thing as a temporary ceasefire," said a source familiar with the details of the negotiations.
Israel's position is that it will not agree to end the war unless Hamas is removed f...
The Israeli Air Force struck a Hezbollah precision missile storage facility on Sunday in Beirut's Dahieh suburb, considered the terror organization's main stronghold after the war.
The IDF stated that the "storage of missiles in this infrastructure site constitutes a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon and poses a threat to the State of Israel and its civilians.
"The Hezbollah terrorist organization systematically embedded the missiles amidst the Lebanese civilian population, cynically exploiting them as human shields."
The IDF stressed that before the strike, steps were taken to mitigate the risk of harming uninvolved civilians, including issuing advance warnings to the civilian population in the area and using precise munitions.
Following the ...

הוּא (הלל) הָיָה אוֹמֵר… בִמְקוֹם שֶׁאֵין אֲנָשִׁים, הִשְׁתַּדֵּל לִהְיוֹת אִישׁ (אבות ב:ה):
We often find ourselves in situations where no one is prepared to step up and take responsibility. At these moments, “where there is no other,” Hillel encourages us to be the ish, the person who takes responsibility and does what is needed.
The meforshim apply Hillel’s words to various situations.
Responsibility for Ourselves
According to the Rambam,[1] the mishnah refers to Torah learning and personal growth. Though we should seek rebbeim to teach and guide us, we must also be ready to teach and guide ourselves. We should view ourselves as capable of[2] and responsible for de...

Hamas’s leadership saw Operation Guardian of the Walls as a victory, newly uncovered internal correspondences have revealed by an N12 report on Saturday.
The correspondences revealed that Yahya Sinwar, then Hamas’s military chief, used the 2021 truce to lure Israel into complacency while planning the October 7 attacks.
The report describes the documents as revealing a “calculated strategy designed to exploit the internal weaknesses of Israeli society and bring about its collapse from within.”
Sinwar reportedly saw the temporary ceasefire as a strategic victory that was a win-win scenario for Hamas and a lose-lose scenario for Israel.
“It is likely that this move, which would be acceptable to most countries in the world, would not be acc...
Ireland's President Michael D. Higgins criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in comments made to the press following the funeral for Pope Francis on Saturday.
President Higgins said it was not wrong to "criticize a prime minister who is strengthening an army that is in breach of international humanitarian law, and many other aspects of international law, if there is no respect for civilian rights, in addition to women and children."
He went on to say that it is "outrageous" that those who critique the Israeli government's policies are labelled antisemitic. "Many people in Israel do oppose those policies," President Higgins added.
President Higgins called it a "great lie" to suggest that those who oppose Israel's military action in Gaza are supporting ...
Egypt and Qatar have proposed a new offer for a six-month ceasefire in Gaza, the release of all hostages, and the release of convicted terrorists, Asharq Al-Awsat reported.
Earlier, Hamas told AFP that the terror group would be willing to agree to a deal releasing all 59 remaining hostages at once, as well as to a five-year ceasefire with Israel.
Osama Hamdan, a Hamas official in Lebanon, said that the terror group "will respond to any initiative which discusses complete withdrawal from Gaza, opening of the crossings, a fair prisoner swap, and no intervention in reconstruction."
According to another report, Hamas agrees to remove its members from Gaza, on condition that Israel provide guarantees that they will not be persecuted or eliminated.

A powerful explosion at the Port of Shahid Rajaee in Bandar Abbas, Iran, left hundreds injured.
The Saturday blast left at least 14 dead and around 700 injured, some seriously, state media said.
An Israeli source said that Israel was not involved in the explosion.
In recent months, shipments with chemicals used as fuel for mid-range rockets have been brought to the port. Some of the rockets were launched at Israel.
An Iranian government spokesperson said that a final determination of the cause will take time, but in the meantime, the containers which were stored at the port - and which may have contained chemicals - exploded.
