US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee told Al Arabiya English in an interview on Thursday that a Palestinian state is not a priority for the Trump administration.
“I certainly haven’t heard the president say that this is one of the most important things we’ve got to look for,” Huckabee said. He also criticized the Palestinian Authority and European governments for actions that “completely disrupt” peace efforts.
He noted that Gaza was once a “100 percent” Palestinian state, and that its disastrous outcome has eroded confidence in a two-state framework. “People see how that turned out,” he said.

The Trump administration can slash hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of research funding in its push to cut federal diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, the Supreme Court decided Thursday.
The high court majority lifted a judge’s order blocking $783 million worth of cuts made by the National Institutes of Health to align with Republican President Donald Trump’s priorities. The high court did keep Trump administration guidance on future funding blocked, however.
The court split 5-4 on the decision. Chief Justice John Roberts was among those who would have kept the cuts blocked, along with the court’s three liberals.

The IDF Spokesperson's Unit announced that earlier today (Thursday), the IDF identified a launch from an area adjacent to the Nasser hospital in Khan Yunis, toward the main corridor for the transfer of aid trucks in the southern Gaza Strip.
The launch was carried out during the passage of a truck convoy which were heading to pick up humanitarian aid from the Kerem Shalom crossing, and fell at a distance of 300 meters from the corridor.
"The launch is yet another example of the ongoing attempts by the terrorist organization to systematically and brutally sabotage the passage of humanitarian aid by the international organizations and disrupt the distribution of humanitarian aid to Gazan civilians," the military said.

Baltimore, MD – Aug. 21, 2025 – BGE crews began work today to upgrade gas lines in the area of Bnai Jacob Shaarei Zion at Park Heights & Clarks Lane, a project that will involve digging along sections of the driveway and sidewalks near the shul.
During construction, one lane of the shul's driveway will be blocked, and everyone is urged to exercise extra caution when entering and exiting the property.
According to BGE, the work is expected to continue through the end of August, with full completion anticipated by that time.

The State Department said Thursday that it’s reviewing the records of more than 55 million foreigners who hold valid U.S. visas for potential revocation or deportable violations of immigration rules.
In a written answer to a question posed by The Associated Press, the department said that all U.S. visa holders are subject to “continuous vetting” with an eye toward any indication that they could be ineligible for the document.
Should such information be found, the visa will be revoked and, if the visa holder is in the United States, he or she would be subject to deportation.
