Baltimore, MD - June 15, 2017 - The email below was sent, last evening, to the TA Parent body:

Dear Friends,

I am pleased to announce that today we hit a major milestone in our construction project! This morning, a minyan of TA students, administrators, building committee members and executive board members gathered on the work site to recite tehillim and mark the pouring of the footers for TA's new high school building! After many months of sitework, today marks the actual construction of TA's new buildings, and I am excited to be able to share the news!

A tremendous amount of work has taken place over the last few months to get us to today. After the 4 houses in the Scotts Hill neighborhood were demolished in the area where our new preschool building will be, crews got right to work preparing the site for construction. New stormwater management drainage systems were installed around the site, including 3 large retention pools. These systems were then tied into the Baltimore County stormwater system. New utilities were brought in, including new gas lines and water lines, to service the campus. Large retaining walls have been built, and massive amounts of dirt and rock have been moved, for the grading of the property and the support of the new buildings. Actual building preparation began first on the high school building, where footers were dug and rebar was set. That all led us to the pouring of concrete this morning.

We are told that the walls of the building will begin to go up next week. The building will start with the gym area, which is the area closest to the dormitory, and work its way toward the other end of the building. Throughout this process, I look forward to continuing to share our progress, as we iy"H look forward to completion in the summer of 2018.

Have a terrific night!
