United Hatzalah is raising their alert level across the country due to the proclaimed strike of the staff of Magen David Adom that is taking place, as part of the general strike in Israel ion Sunday.

The management of United Hatzalah issued an instruction tonight, to its close to 4,000 volunteers, to increase their readiness and alert level as a result of the general strike planned for Sunday morning. As the staff of Magen David Adom ambulance service is joining the strike, United Hatzalah has instructed its volunteers in the field to pick up the slack.

United Hatzalah Founder and President Eli Beer said: “Our volunteers have been asked to increase their level of readiness to response to emergencies in order to provide an immediate response to any medical emergency anywhere in the country. United Hatzalah’s dispatch and command center will begin functioning at its highest alert level beginning at midnight on Saturday.”
