Thousands were on hand in the Ashdod Military Cemetery for kovod hameis on motzei Shabbos for the levaya of Sgt. Hadas Malka, Hy'd, 23, the border policewoman who fell in the line of duty in the Friday night terror attack near Shar Shechem in Yerushalayim. Hadas is survived by her parents David and Geula and siblings Tamar, Guy, Shaked, Neta and Gefen.

The government was represented by Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan. Also present were opposition leader MK Yitzchak Herzog, Police Chief Roni Alsheich, Border Police Chief Yaakov Shabtai, other police commanders, MKs, and local officials including Ashdod Mayor Shimon Lasri.

There was a two-pronged attack in two locations near Shar Shechem on erev Shabbos involving gunfire and knives. Hadas was involved in the fight and while the three terrorists were killed, she fell in the line of duty.
