TBEX (Travel Blog Exchange), the largest conference and networking event for travel bloggers and online travel journalists, will this week assemble in Jerusalem for their first International Conference 22-24 Adar, at the ICC Jerusalem International Convention Center.

The conference, which will bring together around 400 travel bloggers, writers, and industry professionals from around the world, is being held in partnership with the Jerusalem Conventions and Visitors Bureau (JCVB) under the direction of the Jerusalem Development Authority (JDA).

Each year, TBEX partners with host destinations in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific to bring the travel industry’s most creative minds together to learn, network and do business. The first TBEX was held in 2009. Since then, it has grown into the world’s largest travel community, with conferences held annually, attracting around 1000 delegates from around the world, making it the best opportunity for destinations and travel brands to engage with the most influential travel bloggers and leading digital content creators.

Ilanit Melchior, Director of Tourism at the JDA welcomed the many participants from around the world and said, “We have only just finished the International Jerusalem Marathon which welcomed 3,500 runners from around the world, and here we have yet another an important opportunity to show people from across the globe our special, and inspirational city. This conference is a unique opportunity reach the top opinion leaders in the travel industry and travel media.”

She added, “Jerusalem offers conferences so much more than just the facilities for a successful event, but the opportunity to enjoy the city’s exceptional history, culture, culinary delights and nightlife. TBEX’s decision to choose Jerusalem is for us a wonderful way to celebrate the new Jerusalem Conventions and Visitors Bureau, launched around a year ago”.

The conference agenda includes a number of keynote speakers including Mayor of Jerusalem, Nir Barkat, and many other leading speakers and bloggers, as well as a number of workshops and tours throughout the city.
