After banning lawmakers from the Temple Mount in Jerusalem in October 2015 due to violence, the Israeli police now think it is safe for visitors to return.

According to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, police said it is okay for lawmakers to visit the site as long as they speak with police beforehand. However, the media is not allowed there.

The Israeli Prime Minister’s office said Benjamin Netanyahu “will soon convene the relevant security officials, listen to their position and then make a decision. Until then there is no change in policy.”
