Baltimore police are seeking the public's help in identifying an SUV that was involved in a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run Tuesday morning.

Police said at around 5:15 a.m., officers went to the 2300 block of Bel Air Road for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.

Officers said they found Doris Ann Blackmon, 72, suffering from multiple injuries to the body. Police said the vehicle that struck her did not remain at the crash site.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced deceased, police said. Investigators said they notified Blackmon’s next-of-kin.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was crossing the street when she was struck by an SUV, police said.

Investigators obtained video camera footage and believe that a Honda Passport struck Blackmon. Investigators believe the SUV sustained damage during the incident.
