Baltimore,MD - Aug. 8, 2017:

Dear Community Members,

Between 8/4/17 and 8/5/17, the Pikeville Precinct experienced five thefts from motor vehicles and one theft of motor vehicle. The first two thefts from motor vehicles occurred in the 2700 block of Geartner Road, and the last three occurred in the 6800 block of Timberlane Road.  There were no signs of forced entry to any of these targeted vehicles. The theft of motor vehicle occurred in the 2500 block of Hal Circle. It is imperative that vehicles be left locked at all times.  The overwhelming majority of thefts from motor vehicles occur because vehicles are unlocked.

Please remember to lock your vehicles and remove all valuables at all times.

Please be vigilant of suspicious subjects or vehicles roaming through the neighborhood.  If you notice any suspicious activity, safely get a good description of the subjects or vehicles (including license plates) and immediately contact 911.

We offer Free Home Security Surveys, where a uniformed officer will respond to your home and give you suggestions on ways to make your home more secure. Officers from the Pikesville Precinct are actively patrolling your neighborhood. If you have any questions or would like to have a Security Survey, please contact the Pikesville Community Outreach Team for assistance at 410-887-6775.
