A Flash Flood Watch has expired for the Baltimore area.

Friday brought record rainfall to BWI Marshall Airport of 2.58-inches.  It breaks the old record for July 28, of 2.28-inches.

A Flood Warning has been extended until 8:30 p.m. for East Central Prince George's County.

WBAL Meteorologist Miri Marshall reports after the heavy rains overnight, there is still a flood risk.

Much of the area has received one-to-three-inches of rain so far.

There is flooding reported in Bowleys Quarters this morning.

In Baltimore City, the 600-block of Patapsco Avenue were closed this morning due to flooding.

As of 9:10  this morning, BGE reported nearly 1,600 customers are without power mostly in Harford and Baltimore Counties. Meteorologist Miri Marshall says the rain will gradually taper off by early afternoon.

* Flood Warning for... 

East central Prince Georges County in central Maryland... 

* Until 830 PM EDT Saturday 

* At 205 PM EDT, stream gauges indicate flooding continues to 

occur on the Western Branch in Upper Marlboro. 

* The stream has crested near 13.4 feet. At these water levels, 

Water Street and Race Track Road are flooded. The stream will 

gradually fall through the remainder of the afternoon. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... 

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become 

unstable and unsafe.
