Baltimore, MD - June 12, 2017 - This morning, YCC/TA sent the email below to parents announcing the appointment of its new High School Menahel:

It is with a great deal of excitement that I announce the appointment of Rabbi Hillel Dudovitz as the new High School Menahel for the 2017-2018 school year.

Over the last two decades, Rabbi Dudovitz has served as a loved and respected 9th grade Rebbe and as the Director of Student Guidance / Mashgiach Ruchani at Yeshivas Toras Chaim in North Miami Beach, Florida. In both of these roles, he set himself apart with the relationships he built with his talmidim, his deep knowledge of educational pedagogy and psychology, and his uncanny ability to reach every student on an individual level. Rabbi Dudovitz was also responsible for writing and implementing curriculum, teaching and mentoring Rebbeim, and coordinating various support services for faculty, students and parents.

Born and raised in Chicago, Rabbi Dudovitz studied in Eretz Yisroel at Yeshivas Toras Moshe, Yeshivas Bais Yisroel and Yeshivas Mir Yerushalayim. Upon returning to the U.S. he learned in Yeshivas Zichron Meilech under Rav Chaim Epstein Zt"l before moving to Miami as one of the founders of the Kollel in Miami Beach. He also obtained a Master's Degree in Education from Loyola University in Chicago in conjunction with the Jewish Education Leadership Institute.

Rabbi Dudovitz has proven himself to be a tremendous Talmid Chacham, a committed educator, an efficient administrator and a person who understands the needs of today's high school boys, teachers, and parents alike. He is highly respected by his colleagues, parents, and the general community, and has built long-lasting personal connections with his talmidim.

Rabbi Dudovitz will now lead an already strong leadership team in our Mesivta - including our Assistant Menahel, Rabbi Yisroel Lefkovitz, our Mashgiach Ruchani, Rabbi Shraga Hershkowitz and our General Studies Principal, Rabbi Shimmy Steinberg. I thank each of them for their support throughout this process. Of course, I thank Rabbi Fuchs as well for his many years of dedicated leadership as Menahel and wish him much success in the future.

I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to our search committee for their time and dedication throughout this process. The committee has remained committed and focused on finding the best candidate to fill this position. Our multi-step and thorough process, including interviews by the search committee, Vaad HaChinuch and Executive Board, all resulted in a strong recommendation to hire Rabbi Dudovitz.

I look forward to working together to make this transition a smooth one for our Rebbeim, teachers, parents and most importantly, our deserving talmidim.  IY'H, we will see our High School and the entire Yeshiva soar to even greater heights.

As we welcome Rabbi Dudovitz as our new Menahel, I know that you join me in wishing him the greatest success in his new position. I look forward to introducing him to you, our parent body, in the near future.

Best regards,

Peretz Wertenteil

Chairman of the Board
