Baltimore, MD - June 8, 2017:

Dear Community Members,

Between 6/7/17 and 6/8/17, during the overnight hours, there were two residential burglaries in the 3500 block of Barton Oaks Road.  The unknown suspect entered each residence through a rear window.  It should be noted that the suspect located and used an unsecured ladder to gain entry into one of the residences.  Please secure all ladders by either chaining (with a lock to a solid structure) or by moving them into a secure location.  Once inside each residence, the suspect removed vehicle keys then stole one vehicle from each location.  One of the stolen vehicles was located, unoccupied, a short distance from the victim’s residence.

Please be vigilant of suspicious subjects or vehicles roaming through the neighborhoods. If you notice suspicious activity, safely get a good description of the subjects and contact 911.  Please keep your residences secured at all times.  Lock your windows, doors, and use your residential alarm system.  The Pikesville Precinct Community Outreach Team offers free residential security surveys where a uniformed officer will respond to your home and give you ideas and make suggestions on ways to better secure your residence.  Officers from the Pikesville Precinct are actively patrolling your neighborhood.  If you have any questions or would like to have a security survey, please contact the Pikesville Community Outreach Team for assistance at     410-887-6775.
