A suspect was killed and a Baltimore County police officer hurt in a shooting in Dundalk, police say.

Baltimore County police are on scene in the area of Belclare Road and Dundalk Avenue, where they say an officer and armed robber exchanged gunfire. The suspect was pronounced dead. A bystander was also shot.

The officer, who was shot in her leg, was taken to Shock Trauma. Neither she nor the suspect have yet been named.

Video posted on social media depicted the man shooting out from the open doors of an Maryland Transit Administration bus, which had been evacuated. He was apparently shooting from the bus when he struck the officer. Police say the suspect was aboard the bus and wanted in a nearby armed robbery.

The incident comes a day after a Maryland Department of Natural Resources officer at Patapsco Valley State Park fired two shots at someone who tried to run him over.
