Baltimore, MD - Jan. 17, 2017:

Dear Community Members,

Since 01/12/17, the Pikesville Precinct has experienced eight theft of vehicles and one attempted theft of vehicle.

-The first theft of vehicle was a black 1996 Honda Accord taken between 01/11/17 at 6:00 pm and 01/12/17 at 5:30 am near Marsue Drive and Labyrinth Road.

-The second theft of vehicle was a gray 2003 Chrysler Town & Country van taken between 01/13/17 at 2:00 pm and 01/14/17 at 9:30 am in the 6600 block of Dalton Road. -The third theft of vehicle was a silver 2005 Volvo XC90 taken between 01/14/17 at 3:30 pm and 01/15/17 at 3:45 am in the 6800 block of Westridge Road.

-The fourth theft of vehicle was a silver 2001 Dodge Caravan taken between 01/15/17 at 4:00 pm and 01/16/17 at 12:10 am in the 6600 block of Alter Street.

-The fifth theft of vehicle was a green 1998 Acura CL taken on 01/17/17 between 2:00 am and 10:00 am in the area of 29 Warren Park Drive.

-The sixth theft of vehicle was a 2003 Cadillac Escalade taken between 01/13/17 at 9:30 pm and 01/14/17 at 5:30 am in the 3600 block of Courtleigh Drive. **A spare key was found in another unlocked vehicle at this location and used to steal the vehicle.** The vehicle was recovered in the Woodlawn Precinct shortly after being reported stolen by using ONSTAR to locate the vehicle.

-The seventh theft of vehicle was a black 2001 Honda Accord taken on 01/14/17 at 4:15 pm from in front of 4103 Old Milford Mill Road the Mi Casita. **This vehicle was left running with the keys in the ignition and the doors unlocked.**

-The eighth theft of vehicle was a green 2014 Ford F150 taken on 01/16/17 at 4:45 pm from in front of 8207 Liberty Road the BP Gas Station. **This vehicle was left running with the keys in the ignition and the doors unlocked.**

The attempted theft of vehicle was a 2004 Dodge Caravan which was targeted between 01/13/17 and 01/16/17 in the 6600 block of Marott Drive.

The Pikesville Precinct has also experienced several theft from vehicles during this same time frame.

Always lock your vehicles doors, remove all valuables and remove all spare keys from your vehicles.

 

 

Please be vigilant of suspicious subjects or vehicles roaming through the neighborhood.   If you notice any suspicious activity, safely get a good description of the subjects or vehicles and contact 911.  We do offer Free Home Security Surveys where a uniformed officer will respond to your home and give you ideas and suggestions on ways to make your home and property more secure.
