Community Sponsored Shabbat Through the Senses at Rosenbloom Owings Mills JCC, 4:00-7:00pm

A family experience that will stimulate your senses while creating Shabbat items to take home! Enjoy PJ Library story time, mini-challah bake, Havdala candle making and more! WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 9

The Great Challah Bake at The Baltimore Convention Center, an evening of Song, Spirituality & Sisterhood! Doors open at 5:30pm

Imagine the energy and the power of 4,000 Jewish women from all corners of Baltimore mixing it together at The Great Challah Bake. With 6,000 pounds of  flour 10,000 ounces of oil and 8,000 eggs, we will each make 2 traditional challahs from scratch (baked at home!) in preparation for Shabbat.

The Baltimore Shabbat Project will provide the ingredients, you bring the spirit and your tickets! There will be buses and discounted parking available. $10 in advance; $20 at the door.

Tudor Heights Senior Challah Bake at 6:45 p.m.

Seniors join Seniors at Peregrine’s Landing at Tudor Heights to bake Challah.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 11

• Join Suburban Orthodox and Baltimore Hebrew Congregation for a wonderful evening of song, d’vrei torah, camaraderie and a delicious dinner starting at 6:45!

• Please join the Beth T’filoh family in celebrating The Shabbat Project with Jews around the world! It all starts with an a cappella Kabbalat Shabbat service led by Kol Fusion, then enjoy a delicious shabbat dinner with international Jewish cuisine and plenty of ruach. Kids programs will include a Kabbalat Shabbat sing-a-long with Mr. Brian Singer (Grades K-4) and a separate PreSchool program.

Guest speaker, Herb Keinon, diplomatic correspondent for The Jerusalem Post /JPost.com, will give an Israel update during dessert.

Learning

Wow! is launching The Shabbat Halacha Project on the Shabbat Project, a community-wide, year long strengthening of the halachot (laws) of Shabbat. In just 10 minutes per week, complete an entire book! A choice of two calendars available at Shabsis for either The Shabbos Home or The Shabbos Kitchen. Havdalah

Community Sponsored One Day Havdalah Concert

Rams Head Live! Doors open at 7:00pm. The programming will focus on the theme of light and will include LED light activity and service project. The highlight of the night is the beautiful Havdalah ceremony which will be led by Matisyahu, followed by a concert. $15 in advance; $25 at door; $100 meet and greet.
