For most people, Pesach is already a distant memory.  The dishes have all been packed away. But those who participated in the outstanding pre-Pesach shiurim sponsored by Agra D’Pirka are no doubt still feeling the effects of the spiritually uplifting program even after Yom Tov is over.

Agra D’Pirka’s pre-Pesach shiurim were held in four locations – Flatbush, Queens, Baltimore, and Boca Raton. In all, close to 400 people participated in person, and many more were privileged to watch the shiurim on TorahAnytime.

In Flatbush, Rabbi Moshe Elefant, COO of the O-U, discussed many relevant and timely issues about Pesach, including post-Pesach kashrus issues. Rav Aharon Kahn spoke about concepts related to Purim, Pesach, and Shavuos. In Queens, Rav Noach Isaac Oelbaum offered a riveting shiur about preparing for the Chag and the essence of Pesach. And in Baltimore, a huge crowd turned out to hear an outstanding Pesach shiur by Rabbi Ahron Lopiansky which was very well-received.

This was the very first time that Agra D’Pirka offered a pre-Pesach shiur to the South Florida community in Boca Raton and by all accounts it was a tremendous success. “We were thrilled, in particular,” said R’ Chaim Fuhrer of Agra D’Pirka, “with the resounding success of our very first special program in Boca Raton.”

Rav Eliyahu Rabovsky and Rav Noach Light gave the pre-Pesach shiurim in Boca, which were enjoyed by a community that has joined the bandwagon as one of Agra D’Pirka’s premiere locations.

With Pesach behind us, Agra D’Pirka now focuses on future projects. The organization is pleased to report that its Monsey night program, given by the exceptional maggid shiur Rav Yisroel Kaplan, will now be available on Zoom nationwide. The gemorah shiur, which is held nightly from 8:00 to 9:00 PM, is given in English and is sponsored by R’Moshe Klein l’zecher nishmas R’ Avrohom Yaakov ben  R’ Yehoshua Mattisyahu z”l.  Details will become available shortly.

Agra D’Pirka will also be rolling out its popular legal holiday program on Memorial Day in several locations on May 27th, with details to follow. “The legal holiday programs were originally introduced in order to facilitate the participation of those who were unable to come to our regular daily shiurim,” comments R’ Fuhrer. Instead, it has turned into a multi-city phenomenon with pre-Yom Tov programs added as well “to help us prepare for the Yomim Tovim.”

Of course, with summer fast approaching, Agra D’Pirka is planning to re-open its Sunday morning program in the Catskills. The Catskills shiurim drew an astonishing crowd of close to a thousand participants during the 2023 season, a testament to the fact that Torah never takes a vacation even when klal Yisroel is on vacation.

With all these special events and programs being planned, Agra D’Pirka still maintains its vibrant daily morning programs in a large number of communities across the nation. What began as a startup in Flatbush has turned into a tremendous movement, reaching hundreds of participants on a daily basis. Agra D’Pirka hosts over 5,000 shiurim on an annual basis throughout the USA.  The thirst for Torah learning is powerful.  Agra D’Pirka is delighted to answer the call.
