About the Position
Jewish Volunteer Connection, a program of THE ASSOCIATED: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore is actively seeking part-time Senior Summer Service Camp Staff. Positions are available for two 2012 summer camps: âSummer in the City,â a nine week service camp between June 11th â 29th and July 9th â August 18th and âCamp Tzedek,â a one week camp from August 6th â 11th.
The Senior Staff position for the teen summer service camp will be responsible for overseeing volunteers (ages 13-18), as well as, junior staff. Individual will be accountable for implementing a service learning curriculum and should be comfortable speaking about Jewish values. Ability to drive a rental van is required. The Senior Staff position for Camp Tzedek will be responsible for overseeing campers (grades K-5), as well, as junior staff. Candidates will be responsible for the supervising volunteers and campers, ensuring all program supplies are ready, and act as the liaison between JVC staff and program participants. Individuals are expected to participate at each project site. Access to transportation and intermediate computer skills are required.
Qualified candidates must have a bachelorâs degree and experience working with teens. Familiarity with Jewish culture, traditions, and community is a plus.
