Description

Think “nice Jewish kids” don’t use drugs? Think again. No one is immune to the skyrocketing drug addiction rates in the US. Beth Tfiloh’s Corey Seidel Addiction Awareness and Educational Program invites parents to join this honest conversation about drug addiction in the Jewish community to eradicate the stigma that often prevents treatment. Beth Kane Davidson, LCPC, LCADC, director, Suburban Hospital’s Addiction Treatment Center, will explain the science of drug addiction: warning signs, effects on the brain, treatment options, and family and community engagement. Afterwards, friends and family members will reflect on those they’ve lost to drug addiction, while others in recovery will share their struggles and successes in this candid panel discussion. High school students welcome. View complete details at www.bethtfiloh.com/notinmyfamily
